Marathon: To Run or Not to Run....

St. George //Marathon

It is about that time of year. Last year I was just starting my official training for the 07 St. George marathon. Ken (Jakes dad) and I were vigorously running daily and getting ready for the event that would in the end change our lives forever. So I am starting to really re-think my decision to run the St. George marathon again. Ever since I decided not to run it this year, I have been seeing marathon stuff everywhere and talking to people that are running it. There is a movie coming to the box office here in Denver about marathon runners and their experiences, and I was watching the preview and couldn't help getting the itch again. My sister-in-law Brooke was chosen in the lottery and she is doing training, so it would be so fun to run it with her and share that experience. However since I missed the deadline I will have to sponsor a charity to get in. Anyone every ran for a charity before? Not sure how it works.... Hmm...what to do what to do...

Who doesn't love orange sherbert push-ups?? My kids asked to get these treats from the store the other day and I couldn't refuse. It was a childhood memory of mine, except we would get ours from the Schwanman! Looks like they enjoyed them!

Mothers Day

So Yesterday of course was Mothers Day, and I just had a wonderful day. I think Mothers Day ranks right up there with Birthdays and Christmas. I always hate when the day is over, cause you have to go back to the normal routine. I think I could get used to breakfast in bed, and not changing poopy diapers everyday! =) Actually at the end of the day yesterday I was just so grateful for my little family and all the blessings that we have been given, especially our kids. They were so sweet yesterday, all dressed up so cute for church. I looked at them all and was so grateful that I was their mom. Hope you all had a good day yesterday, and it made you appreciate the little things in your lives like it did for me.

Okay all you Twilight Girls.... I have a new book for you. It is called The Host. It is another Stephenie Meyer, it is her new book. I just started it, and lucky for Jake he is out of town this week!! I am super into to it. I havn't finished it yet but give me a day and it will be done. I just started it this morining. I had tons to do today, but tonight after the kids go to bed, I plan on reading like crazy! I'll let you know how it goes..
